It's fall!

I've come to realize that I love the change of seasons... Whatever season we're moving into, I'm generally excited about it! By that time I'm ready for a change in the temperature & I'm tired of my clothes for the season that is ending..
Fall means so many great things.... A major one for us being our anniversary! Eric & I celebrated our 4th anniversary last week. What an amazing 4 years it has been! In one sense it feels like we were just married yesterday. I can remember small details like they just happened. In other ways, it feels like our little family has always been. I am so blessed! This anniversary was extra special having a sweet little boy to celebrate it with! He even bought his mommy & daddy some cute fall decor from The Townsend House! :-) (daddy did good!)
Here are the three of us on September 24, 2009- celebrating our anniversary & our little neighbor Drake's first birthday!

Thought I would share pics of the fall decorating I did in our living room. Nothing to fancy, but it makes me happy when I walk in the room! Love these bright autumn colors!

Settling into our new routine..

This is week #4 of me being back at work & it seems we've settled into the new routine without too many hiccups! We are very pleased that we were able to keep Hudson out of daycare for the time being. For now, I am loving the small environment, individual attention, & fewer germs. Plus, I am loving that he has a playmate a few days a week! He & sweet Emory Napper are buddies already! They are so cute playing together on the Little Einstein playmat & it seems they are already pretty aware of each other. Have I mentioned how neat it is to be able to call & check on him at anytime during the day, or even stop by during my lunch hour? I love it!

Eric has had to travel a fair amount lately- this is the beginning of his busy time of year. We manage okay when he is gone, but we sure miss him! He was gone for several days last week & the night he got home, he sat down with Hudson to feed him.. Hudson was more interested in looking at his Daddy than taking the bottle! It was so cute!

Hudson has really been smiling & talking alot more the past few weeks. I try & try to catch him in a grin with the camera, but by the time it double flashes, you can imagine how much of the smile has diminished! I've gotten a few cute ones, though! It is amazing how happy that little grin & laugh can make me!! Best sound in the world!!

We took him in to the doctor this morning because we've been thinking that he might have reflux... Well apparantly there is not really a way to truly diagnose reflux in infants, but based on our descriptions, Dr said those are the symptoms of reflux. Can't wait to get started on those meds & see if they help our sweet boy! He is happy except when he is hurting & it usually becomes pretty obvious that he is in pain. Sad, I tell you! But what is not sad is having him sleeping thru the night!! It is wonderful! He's been doing it for several weeks now & it sure makes for a happy mom & dad! :-)

I'll leave you with a few other cute pictures from the past week or two!

I'm holding my head up so well now!

It's not fair my Mom makes me do all this tummy time!

Great weekend together!!

We've had a fun weekend! Had a visit from Uncle Gavin for a couple of days.. We love having him come! It's fun getting to use our guest room! :-)
Saturday was a great day! I had so much fun spending the day with my boys!! Eric, Hudson & I headed to Monroe mid morning & went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast! It was so good! We then headed off for our shopping that needed doing.. Had to hit Target & Sam's for all of the neccesities & then to Paul Michael for fun. We found a few really cute things at Paul Michael. Can't wait to go back there & load up on Christmas decorations!

Saturday night, Jessie & Rett invited us over to watch Tech's opening season football game! Rett grilled some fabulous hamburgers! Good food & good company!! We were glad Olivia & Hudson got to hang out! They had to be the cutest Dawg fans around! :-)
We made it until halftime & Hudson started having a melt down so we had to head home... Thanks for a fun evening Hamby's!

Today we had a good day at church! Hudson made it all the way through Sunday School & Church without a peep! He did great & snoozed away! He looked handsome in his coming home outfit from the hospital! I wanted him to get to wear it again but I guarantee this was the LAST time he fits into it! Sad! He has almost doubled in weight since birth! I can't believe it is happening so fast!

We put him in his exersaucer for the first time this afternoon. He did good holding his head up! I had to stuff a towel around his back to give his body some support, but his head is getting stronger!

I am sitting here so thankful for a holiday tomorrow! One more day with my boys!!!
Ya'll have a great week!

Hudson meets his great grandmother

Eric's grandmother, Mamaw, has had some problems as of late & been in & out of the hospital. Because we did not feel comfortable taking Hudson into a hospital, we had to wait until she made it back to the nursing home before we could take him to meet her! She was thrilled to see Hudson & very glad we all came to visit.
