Good dr's appt!

Thank you for praying!! I went back to the doctor today & things were good! My blood pressure was good & no protein showed up this week! Yea!!
So I am back to my every two week appointments! I will also get to have another ultrasound in two weeks with the 4-D stuff! It's been 11 weeks since our last ultrasound so I am excited about getting to see Hudson again! Can't wait to see how much he weighs!! I'll be 31 weeks at that time.
Also, next week we start going to the "Prepared Childbirth" classes at St Francis! It will be 3 classes- 1 per week. Kind of excited about that! Seems like we are getting closer & I know time will fly by with all of these things to look forward to!
Have a great week!

So thankful..

I had my every two week dr's appt this past Wednesday.. I had been to the beach with friends the weekend before & was feeling totally normal- didn't expect anything abnormal from my visit with the dr.. I went through the normal routine when they called me back- weight, blood pressure, etc... My blood pressure was a little high, but it has been a little high the entire time.. Dr. LeBleu hasn't been to concerned b/c I've told her I get anxious before appts & she hasn't seen a spike in it.. It has been pretty consistent. The nurse puts me in a room & when Dr LeBleu comes in she tells me that I have protein in my urine which is a sign of preclamsia. (toxemia) Oh great... She tells me that I will have to do a 24 hr urine sample & if my protein levels are over a certain amount, that means I have it & I will be put on bed rest. She also said it would be likely that I would deliver Hudson early b/c of the blood pressure. I asked if there was any medication I could take & she said no, bedrest was the only option. I also told her that my Mom had toxemia with me & she just kind of said hmmm.. Genetics does play a role, so it would be likely that I will have it if my mom did. So, Thursday am to Friday am I had to do the 24 hr urine sample.. Talk about humbling! haha! Thankfully my co-workers were all in the know & didn't make too much fun of me! lol! Dr LeBleu told me to go back to St Francis on Friday am & they would draw blood etc.. She said I could expect to hear from her on Friday with the results.. So off to Monroe I went Friday morning... As I was leaving the lab I asked them when the results would be ready- they said 24 hrs... Well of course that means today- Saturday... I call Dr LeBleu's nurse & ask her about it & she said they normally have the results back the same day & she would remind Dr LeBleu to check on it. She said I should hear from her on Fri or Sat.. I try to let it escape my mind all the time thinking- I might not be at work on Monday?!? Crazy feeling! Needless to say by 6 last night I still had not heard anything... All of family & close friends had been calling me all day to see if I'd heard anything.. We are blessed with a large group of people who love us! :-) I had resigned myself to knowing it would be Saturday before I heard anything, and possibly even Monday... Well at about 9:15pm my phone rang & it was Dr LeBleu! She was calling to tell me the tests were fine & at this point I do not have preclamsia! Praise God! I was so relieved! She did tell me that we would monitor it pretty close & that I would probably have to repeat the 24 hr test again in a couple of weeks.. She also suggested that I take my blood pressure at home occasionally to make sure it was okay & also told me some signs to look for- headaches, blurred vision, etc.. So anyway, for now, things are good! Please pray that my blood pressure will stay under control & that we can continue to sail through!

First Belly Shot....And still deciding on a name..

We have not done the traditional "belly" pics throughout the pregnancy... No reason really... Just opted not too! On Sunday we were at my mother in law's for Easter & she asked if I'd let her take one... I said oh heck why not... So this is the first one! 27 weeks! I had on a baggy linen shirt, but you get the idea!

I am now officially on the every two week dr appointments! Feels like a milestone! I'm sure some people feel like it is a bother, but I really actually enjoy going to the dr b/c it is just so reassuring to hear his little heartbeat & know that everything is okay!
I had the sugar/glucose test on Thursday, and have not heard from them.. Hoping that is a good thing! Surely they would have called by now if the results were not good... We shall see!

Eric & I are still struggling with the name.... We have two names that we really like:

Hudson & Caden... I love both names really.... Which do you like better? Oh, and Charles will be the middle name with either.. That is Eric's middle name & his Dad's first name... And also, Hudson is my Dad's grandfather's name... So now you have the whole story! :-)

We are moved in!!! And ALMOST settled! :-)

We've been in the new house for two weeks now! It is wonderful! We absolutely love it! I'm sure there will be things that come up that we wish we would have done, but right now it is bliss! :-) We are loving having space & are 100% happy with the way everything turned out! After hearing so many horror stories about building, I have to say that it went exceptionally well for us! Yes, it was alot of work.. But no major arguments between Eric & I & we still think we had a wonderful builder. We got along with him & his crew so well. I can't tell you what a difference that makes. He is a stand up guy & we are glad to call him a friend now!

I'll give you a little tour of the house.
Here is the entry.. Still no grass or landscaping & that probably won't happen for a while.. But I'm okay with that for now..

Here is the foyer.. See post earlier about the paint finish.. Still love this area. We already had this picture & it looks like it was painted for this foyer. So glad it went well! My Mom gave us this Staghorn Fern we have in the foyer right now. She's been taking care of it, so lets hope I can keep it alive!!

The living room is still a work in progress, but it is getting there & we are enjoying hanging out in there. The space above the mantel is wired for a tv, we just haven't bought one yet!

I would have to say the kitchen is my favorite part of the house. We probably did put the most effort into making it the perfect space for us. I think the space & layout will suit us & our growing family for a long time. I know it has only been two weeks, but I actually don't mind cleaning & picking things up in here just b/c it makes me happy to see it clean & in order! Lets hope it stays that way! :-) The layout & space is very user friendly & makes cooking really enjoyable! I guess that's the point, huh!

Breakfast room is same area as the kitchen.... Loving my chocolate brown walls. And in some of the pictures above you'll see a larger entry way off of kitchen.. We choose to do a double door size entry into the living instead of just 1 big open area. We are liking it because it is still open & you don't feel stuck off by yourself while in the kitchen, but it is still quiet enough to watch tv in the living room with the sink going, pots & pants dinging, etc..

Eric's Office.. He pretty much planned this room by himself & I think he did an excellent job! It turned out great & perfect for him!

Randoms...

Wild but fun looking 1/2 bath!

My computer desk/nook! Love it.. Right inside the garage door.

Pantry!

Master Bedroom & Bath.. Loving our new furniture.. Excuse the laundry basket & "stuff!" Everything hasn't found a home yet! Drapes are on the way!!

Nursery!! Getting closer to having our baby boy in here! 25 weeks & 3 days today! Next dr appt this week & also the dreaded sugar test! Yuck! We are getting closer to a name! Hopefully will have some news on that in the next few days or weeks!

Hall bathroom & Guest bath!

And last but not least.. The back porch! Can't wait for many fun spring & summer evenings hanging out outside with friends & family!
